I left the continent for a few days and when I returned Col Muammar Gaddafi was dead. Much has been said about this ‘dictator’ in the media lately. I’m more interested in the truth than going along with the usual crowd who continue to label this man a dictator. Yet only 2 years ago some of the same people who branded him this ‘dictator’ were conducting major economic deals with him now simply wanted him dead only 6 months ago. Why is that? Life is strange isn’t?
I will admit that I won’t and don’t ignore how he treated his own people during the Libyan riots and the demonstrations earlier this year. Interestingly now I spend more time researching what life was really like under Col Gaddafi’s government and what the future may hold for Libya as a whole. Were things really that bad for the Libyans? I will continue to share my thoughts and indeed my findings as usual.
My only wish is for the Libyan people to live in peace and prosperity going forward now. I came across this article and wondered how this sad situation would affect my own wish but more importantly the lives of the Libyans affected by recent events.

The same reaseon i realised they will not rest untill he was dead and his sons too. They know a lot about the underhand dealings of the west. These people are scared of being put to shame!! Sometimes i wish we should get the phone conversations between Sarkozy, Cameron and Obama during that time!!
‘dictator’ is only one of many words that describe the man. he dictated pace and direction of things to his people. the world is still to find out the full extent of this, including more mass graves, hidden treasures, gold bars and secret tunnels in the desserts. wafawanaka but along with the general testimonies from friends and loyalists will be new revelations and discoveries about his darker side. surely all those libyans who rose against him were not mass-brainwashed by the west. andit is no shameful secret that the hand of nato and its allies was motivated by oil and other interests. their removal of gaddafi was like kusakura munda wavakarima kare kwete kugobora mutsva even though there are sections of our African media which, as always, want to portray our leaders as incorruptible guardians of our natural resources…
The truth will come out eventually….I’ve been reading and researching the lives of the Libyan people. It doesn’t look as bad as previously stated. What irks me is the silence from most of the African leaders. Such a deafening silence I tell ya!
