I’m probably best known by the majority of British society as Kriss Akabusi MBE international athlete who won three Olympic medals, became world, European and Commonwealth champion over a ten year span which saw me become a British record holder for the 400meter hurdles and was awarded my MBE in the Queens new years honors list of 1992 for my services to British athletics.

Currently I’m the owner operator of The Akabusi Company (TAC) a speaking, coaching, mentoring, and group facilitation business as well as the Executive Chair of The Akabusi Charitable Trust (TACT) a charity dedicated to developing rural communities in Nigeria (in particular Imo State) via the medium of water and sanitation/micro credit and social enterprise/health education and providing a template that other people in the diaspora can emulate.

I will be writing my blog from the perspective of Kezie a Nigerian child lost in the diaspora with an eye on the continent that many call home.
