Born and bred in Africa, Naomi moved from Namibia to South Africa at the age of five. She grew up near Cape Town, spending most of her twenties in this spectacular city. Enter her husband, Dave, ex-superbike star from Port Elizabeth, who swept her off her feet, into the bright lights of Johannesburg.
Adventure fanatics, they’ve spent as much of the past fifteen years as practical, exploring their own and other countries. The African bushveld is a favourite destination. Professional photographers and videographers (among other things), Dave and Naomi document exclusive safaris for the likes of Hills of Africa Travel in the USA. This company’s mission to promote sustainable tourism to Africa, by helping to preserve local communities, wildlife and environments, goes hand in hand with Naomi’s philosophy.
Her blog Naomi’s Notes, together with the couple’s photographic website Outdoor Video & Photographic, provides them with a platform to share their passion for Africa with people around the world. Naomi is also a writer, currently working on her second novel.
