Saran Kaba was born in New York City and spent 7 years of her life in Guinea, Conakry. She received her B.A in International Studies from The City College of New York and her MPA (with a focus in Nonprofit Management) from Baruch’s School of Public Affairs. She also recently earned her certificate in Project Management at NYU and passed the exam to become a certified Project Management Professional. After working at Equality Now, an international women’s rights organization for several years, as well as amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research as a Coordinator for Individual Giving, and later as a Development Manager for the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation, she is currently an Associate Director of Development at The Believe High Schools Network.
Saran co-founded a group called Guinée Espoir in 2004 with her twin sister. Guinée Espoir represents a group of people working together along with other organizations, orphanages and already established groups, so as to better the lives of children living in Guinea, West Africa. Her passion? You guessed it…helping others!
